Barry Serafin, a former lead designer for Jack Kidwell and Dr. Michael Hurdzan, has been designing, renovating, and restoring golf courses since 1987. At Serafin Golf Course Design, our experience in golf course design, landscape architecture, golf course construction, environmental conservation, agronomy, sustainable design and golf course maintenance is integrated throughout the project to produce an innovative design. Designing and constructing a golf course is more complex than most people could ever imagine. We use our extensive experience and vision to seamlessly blend this multifaceted process with the project objectives. Our success is driven by our ability to consistently produce golf courses that golfers enjoy playing time and time again.

With each course we strive to preserve the natural features of the site and minimize the impact of man and machinery. Each project is a new challenge that we take very seriously. Starting with our initial review of the project through planning, design, construction, marketing and opening, we take a very hands-on approach with the golf course as well as assisting the owner with the intricate development process. Our courses are designed to be enjoyed by golfers of all playing levels, forgiving to beginners and challenging to the low handicap player. We achieve this by incorporating multiple tee positions that play from various angles, strategic bunker locations, and subtle contours throughout the golf course. Our hands-on philosophy has resulted in our designs receiving recognition in major industry publications like Golf Digest, Golfweek, and GOLF Magazine, as well as many local and regional publications.
